Saimaa Film Festival 12–16 August 2026

Saimaa Film Festival returns in August 2026, bringing cinema into unique natural and cultural settings across South Karelia. The festival offers immersive film screenings, discussions, and side events in locations where film meets water, forests, cities, and villages.

Saimaa Film Festival invites audiences to experience films in a new way – close to nature, together, and at a relaxed pace. The festival’s goal is to strengthen the cultural appeal of South Karelia, attract new visitors to the region, and build a film event of national and international interest.

The full festival programme will be published in May–June 2026.
