Registration for Training Has Started!
The Black and White Theatre Association is participating in the Central Baltic Programme project “FestiSkills Hunters.” The project aims to improve employment opportunities for women in the cultural sector.
On May 1, 2025, a collaborative project called FestiSkills Hunters was launched, connecting the Peipsimaa region in Estonia with South Karelia in Finland. The project’s goal is to enhance employment prospects for women aged 40 and over by offering them practical training in festival and event management. The project aims to reduce regional unemployment and strengthen the local cultural sector, thereby creating new opportunities and contributing to regional vitality.
Registration for training opens on June 5.
A total of 17 participants will be selected from South Karelia and 17 from Estonia. The training is open specifically to women aged 40+ from South Karelia.

The training starts in August 2025 and ends in June 2026.
The program will primarily be conducted online, with two in-person training periods:
Training will be provided by event industry professionals from Finland and Estonia. The language of instruction is English. However, lack of English skills is not a barrier to participation. The training itself is free of charge.
